For changing the default name just click on the wireless tab button to open the menu of changing. Enter the new service set identifier name where the old one is written. Do not use common name but always use the name which is very difficult for other users to guess. Through this step you can protect your wireless router.

Disable the Service Set Identifier Broadcasting:

Different types of software are used by the hackers to search and hack the closest SSID by checking their name automatically. So, nowadays we cannot secure the router by changing the name because with the help of advanced software they can get the name and steel all the information. So by changing the name we can protect the router to some extent but by protecting the name we can do the secure use of wireless router. So for protecting the name from hackers we should do the disability of the service set identifier broadcast. It is very easy to disable the SSID broadcast because open the same menu which is required to change the name, then clicks the SSID broadcast button and select the “Disable SSID broadcast” your broadcast would be disabled and your router become completely secure.
